Hello! I'm Shehzar Abro.
I'm an artist, 3D animator, and art educator
- Based in Toronto and from Karachi
- I founded Pirani Productions, an animation and visual effects studio developing our own IP and client work.
- I have contributed to projects like Sausage Party: Foodtopia (Amazon Prime) and Mia and Codie (TVO Kids).
- Worked with Emily Carr University of Art+Design, Kwantlen Polytechnic University
- Developed courses on Drawing for Animators and Visual Storytelling at AUArts
- Finalist Mississauga Arts Council Awards 2024
- Studied the arts for 6 years, with two professional diplomas in 3D animation and a bachelors degree in media arts.

Personalized Curriculum: Over two months, we’ll meet 1 hour a week to assess your skill level, set projects, goals, and work through exercises designed to build your portfolio or project. We will also maintain communication on email during between classes.

I had the opportunity to study 3D Animation at KPU under Shehzar's mentorship; he was such an amazing instructor during the time we worked together building my Demo Reel. Shehzar always encouraged us (students) to think independently and to be confident when pitching our ideas.
He guided us on how we could execute our creative vision, in order to learn different methods of animation - as a result, I felt my ideas and vision were valued, and kept me motivated on pursuing this career path. Knowledge, patience and passion are the most important things required to be an awesome instructor, and Shehzar has a strong sense of those three. I respect and admire his work, and hopefully soon our paths will meet again as animation collegues.
