Hello! I'm Shehzar Abro.
I'm an artist, animator, and educator
- Based in Toronto and from Karachi my art career spans traditional and digital media such as murals, paintings, drawings, and 2D/3D animation.
- I founded Pirani Productions, an animation and visual effects studio developing our own IP and client work.
- I have contributed to projects like Sausage Party: Foodtopia (Amazon Prime) and Mia and Codie (TVO Kids).
- Collaborated with Emily Carr University of Art+Design, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and Alberta University of the Arts.
- Developed two courses focused on Drawing for Animators and Visual Storytelling & Character Development at AUArts
- Finalist in Mississauga Arts Council MARTYS Awards 2024
- I studied the arts for 6 years, with two professional diplomas in animation and a bachelors degree in media arts.

Personalized Curriculum: Over three months, we’ll meet 1 hour a week to assess your skill level, set projects, goals, and work through exercises designed to build your portfolio or project. We will also maintain communication on email during between classes.

He guided us on how we could execute our creative vision, in order to learn different methods of animation - as a result, I felt my ideas and vision were valued, and kept me motivated on pursuing this career path.
Knowledge, patience and passion are the most important things required to be an awesome instructor, and Shehzar has a strong sense of those three. I respect and admire his work, and hopefully soon our paths will meet again as animation collegues.
