Hello there!

I'm Shehzar Abro, a Pakistani visual artist, professional 3D animator, and educator based in Canada. My work spans nearly a decade of image-making and storytelling, featuring animation, drawings, paintings, murals, curated solo and group art shows, and artistic collaborations with leading organisations.

I aim to capture the essence of my subjects through movement, performance, color, light, shapes, and form.

My artistic exploration centers on the transformation of the aura of cultural icons and symbols in the digital age, examining their interpretations across various media, time, and space.

My artistic journey is embedded in a desire to learn and be a better artist, and I want to share what I have learnt so far through structured one-on-one and group mentorships in Drawing and Animation, as well as courses and resources which I have compiled and created to help you in your creative journey.

As an arts educator, I have worked in various Canadian animation programs at public universities and private colleges including Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Centre for Entertainment Arts, and Alberta University of the Arts. In my capacity as a course developer and instructor, workshop facilitator, animation studio technician, and lab instructor, I have supported hundreds of students in producing animation demo reels and films, preparing them for the realities and expectations of being an artist and working in animation.
